HERITAGE SKILLS INITIATIVE

Having established an award winning Heritage Skills Initiative under the previous name of North of England Civic Trust, Cultura continues to champion the passing on of manual and traditional construction skills including dry stone walling, hedge planting, woodland management, slating, stonemasonry, brickwork, leadwork, building maintenance, carpentry and woodworking and engineering skills needed to restore and maintain our historic buildings and cultural landscapes. Training the next generation of craftspeople is part of all our capital projects.
